THE Evening Advertiser Bride of the Year and her childhood sweetheart have been looking for their perfect wedding cake.
Courtesy of Sugar Celebrations, Lucy Griffin, 20, and fiance Neil Zerebecki, 23, have been looking at a range of tempting cakes to top off their big day.
Unable to decide between fruit, sponge and chocolate cake, Lucy is thinking of having a bit of all three.
She said: "I think I may try to have a combination. I think they even do carrot cake!
"It would give people a little bit more choice and is a bit different, but we will have to see what is possible.
"I want the cake decorations to match the colours we have chosen for the rest of the wedding."
The couple, from Covingham, have been busy arranging their perfect wedding with the help of the Bride of the Year sponsors.
But Lucy is determined to keep the finer details of the wedding a secret from Neil.
She said: "I have been careful not to leave anything around the house that may reveal any secrets about the wedding.
"I have even been giving them to my mum to keep, just in case he finds them!"
Lucy and Neil grew up together from babyhood, became good friends, fell in love, and decided to marry.
