A CHANCE to briefly escape from the pressures of daily life is being offered to people in Swindon.
The Baha'i religious group has set up its first permanent Tranquillity Zone in the town.
Previously, members of the faith which believes that all of humanity should unite under a single god and embrace compassion and mutual respect have set up the zones in temporary quarters throughout the town.
However, finding a permanent venue proved difficult.
Regular free sessions will now be held at the Health Hydro in Milton Road.
Candles, fragrant flowers and drapes are used to create a relaxing environment and encourage people to quietly relax or meditate.
Project co-ordinator Fidelma Meehan said: "Within this quiet and peaceful setting, a voice reads inspiring and soothing words, followed by beautiful and uplifting music."
Sessions are now held on Wednesdays and Fridays at 1pm, with additional fortnightly programmes on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
