Photographer and naturalist David Bailey is coming to Swindon to discuss the compatibility of railways and wildlife.
Mr Bailey who shares his name with the iconic fashion photographer has studied the flora and fauna along the embankment of the West Somerset Railway and will present his findings at Wroughton's Ellendune Centre on Friday.
Presentation organiser Bob Collins said: "Although the talk canters around the West Somerset Railway, it could just as easily be the same on the Swindon and Cricklade Railway and its proposed extension to Moredon Park.
"It could also be true of the canals and should be of interest to many people who are interested in re-introducing the canal system around Swindon."
The talk starts at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £2.50. Mr Collins can be contacted for details on (01793) 813307.
