HOUSES prices might be falling, but property has never been more popular on television.
A home in Cricklade was today being filmed as part of Channel 4's hit show Location, Location, Location, presented by Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer.
The show, made by London-based Ideal World Productions, involves a homebuyer being shown around a series of properties by experts.
A buyer is shown around four or five homes before making a decision on which to buy and an offer is usually made on camera.
Nationwide IT analyst Ken Dickson, 41, is hoping to get an offer for his former home, Croft Cottage in Church Lane, on the programme.
Researchers were looking for homes with talking points, and the four bedroom cottage has views of St Sampson's church, which is practically in its back garden.
Mr Dickson has now moved to Devon with his family, and the £335,000-home, built in 1913, has been on the market for five weeks.
He said: "Much as we love the home my wife and I decided to move the family to Devon so we had to sell.
"I am not going to be there when they come to look around the house and I would rather not be anyway in case they say something negative about it.
"It is a lovely place. The views from the garden and bedroom are great and I can't wait to see my place on TV."
And even if the TV show doesn't manage to sell his home, Mr Dickson will still pocket £75 from Channel 4 for letting them view his home.
