POINT TO POINT: ALMOST 200 horses have been entered in the New Forest Foxhounds annual point-to-point meeting at Larkhill on Saturday.
The eight-race card gets under way at 12.30pm with Hunts race.
Among its 22 entries are Bally Wirral which won at Barbury Castle on Sunday, and Hot Plunge who was in contention when running out at the Staff College meeting where Chasing Daisy was a good third.
The Open Maiden race will be run in three Divisions. Celebration March, Kustom Kit Grizzly, Magnemite and Who's Eddie have all shown form this season and should be considered for Division One.
In Division Two, Kjjimmy, Sun Lark and the consistent Restless Native may face a challenge from Miman James.
Baron Blitzkrieg, a faller when leading at the United Services, Karoo and David Brace's Sunday Princess may be three candidates for Division Three.
The Mixed Open has attracted a splendid entry of 35. Rachel Bartlett's Fair Wind goes well over this course, while Didmarton winner Friar Waddon and Holnicote scorer Quickswood are sure to be supported.
Porlock Hill and Wood-lands Beau are two other contenders, but Fontaine Again won at Chaddesley Corbett last Saturday and gets the vote to follow up here.
A high quality contest is also in prospect for the Intermediate race which features Denel Lady and Hot Plunge.
