WITH a large number of regular players missing due to other commitments, a new look Wheatsheaf team took to the field to seek revenge for last year's defeat at Salisbury's hands.
In atrocious conditions the Wheats started the brighter of the two teams with second row Ben Brown taking the ball from the base of a ruck ten metres out and driving over to open the scoring. Fly half Nick Richards converted.
Prop Jason Findlay was rampant in the loose and it was only a matter of time before he got on the score sheet, breaking through a number of tackles and powering over the line to touch down for a converted try.
The Wheats finished the half brightly with winger Jason Jones bursting through the Salisbury defence to score another converted try.
Salisbury hit back after the break with Ben James scoring in the corner after some poor marking by the Wheatsheaf backs.
The Wheats responded instantly with skipper Kennedy opting for field position from a penalty.
Salisbury knocked on at the line out and the Wheats scored from the resulting scrum. Salisbury were expecting the ball to go out to the backs, but the Wheats took the ball up the blindside allowing Findlay to get his second try.
The Wheatsheaf finished the game strongly with Fijian debutant Ski Koroisa-manunu scoring a converted try.
On Saturday Cabin Crew entertain North Dorset II who will be looking for revenge after their early season humbling. Kick off is 2.30pm.
