SWINDON SUNDAY LEAGUE: RAIN-SOAKED pitches and the cancellation of matches at Moredon due to vandalism disrupted the league programme.
There was no change at the top of Division Three, where top teams Penhill United and South Marston both won.
Marston eased past Coleshill 4-0 with Keith Gales, Phil New, Colin Nunn and Scott Griffin on the scoresheet.
Penhill were 3-0 up at home to Coleview Sports and cruising, but Sports staged a fine comeback with goals from Micky Redford and a Matt Jones double only to then concede another goal to lose 4-3. Gary Maciezonek, Andy Walshe and two from Shane Davis were the Penhill scorers.
A Dave Wilkinson goal gave Mallard a hard fought 1-0 home win over Fox and Hounds. Compton Welding defeated bottom team High St Club 2-0 thanks to goals from Craig Roberts and Ian Stratford.
The Division One game between Greyhound and Tran Staff had to be abandoned in the first half with the score at 1-1 after Greyhound's Tony Joyce suffered a serious leg injury and had to be taken to hospital.
In Division Two the second and third placed battle ended in a 1-1 draw. Alanbrooke's Arnie Kitchiner put his side ahead only to see Ian Fawkes equalise for Innogy Holdings shortly afterwards. Athletico and Dynamo Ashton also drew 1-1.
A four-timer for Brian Cosgrove, a double for Andy Brien and one each for Daniel West and John Duvall gave Motorola an 8-3 win at Windmill in Division 4 to move them into second spot. Gary Seward with two and Ross Kelly replied for Windmill.
Division Five leaders Queensfield seem to have recovered from their defeat last week with a 4-0 home win over ISSC. Mike Chives and a Neil Robinson hat-trick was enough for the leaders.
Behind them Sun Inn Coate slipped to a 4-0 home defeat against Bear Hotel Marlborough.
Bottom team Grosvenor recorded their first victory of the season by hammering Nationwide Life 10-2, with hat tricks for Gareth Parry and Nick Camden, plus one each for Nick Haines, Paul Stone, Steve Wood and Mark Puschnik.
Dolphin returned to the top of Division Six after their resounding 6-0 win at Faringdon Rd Grapes thanks to goals for Mark Emerson, James Walton, Mike Young, Ben Taylor and a double for Matt Daniels.
Castrol GTX also recorded an impressive 7-0 victory at H & H Athletic with doubles for Stuart Phillips, Craig Ingram and one each for Paul Stoddart, Pete Griffiths and Brett Fielder. Penetrators beat Philip Andrews 2-1 thanks to strikes from Dave Mcdonell and Andy Merryweather.
In Division Sevenleaders Duckhams Q beat WS One 4-2 with Paul Carter (2), Gary Milsom and Micky Hogg scoring. Ben Dickens and Terry Griffin with his 31st of the season replied for WS One.
