MID-WILTSHIRE SUNDAY LEAGUE: BAR OC remain second in table after easing to a 4-1 win over third placed Devizes Snooker Club.
Pete Swales and Tom Evans combined for the latter to place the ball just outside the goalkeeper's reach to open the scoring for the home side.
Evans was on hand again 15 minutes later to take advantage of some poor defending during a goalmouth scramble and score his second to give the Bar a two-goal half time lead.
The second half saw the Bar pick up from where they left off. Mark Hulland poked the ball past the Snooker Club's goalkeeper for their third, but the visitors pulled one back when Jonathon Couch headed home from Jonathon Schofield's free kick.
With 10 minutes remaining, a through ball from Tom Paget released Andy Webster and he shot coolly past the goalkeeper for the Bar's fourth and final goal.
The Fox and Hounds won their third consecutive league game to move them up another place in the league table. Stephen Beirne's half volley from 30 yards settled a non-eventful game at Netheravon.
The New Inn jumped two placed in the table with a 2-0 home win over the Dolphin.
The Inn went 1-0 up when some soft defending from the Dolphin allowed Andrew Green to poke the ball home past two defenders.
The second half produced a repeat of the first goal, but this time it was Martin Gowing who slotted home for the New Inn's second. The Dolphin were reduced to ten men with 20 minutes to play when Darren Folkard was injured, and only some stout defending kept the score down.
