CORSHAM lifted themselves off the bottom of the Screwfix Direct League on the night of Monday 10 March as they recorded their biggest win of the campaign.
The First Division's lowest scorers went goal crazy at The Southbank, with Rob Humphries, John Freegard, Andy Wicks and substitute Jamie Harrison all on target.
The victory puts Corsham two points clear of the relegation zone and co-manager Dave King was delighted with the way his side bounced back from the disappointment of slipping to the foot of the table on Saturday.
He said: "They responded brilliantly. I was nervous coming to the ground before the game and we were looking for the players to show some character.
"I was surprised how up for it they were. They went out there and took the game to Cadbury Heath.
"There were some tremendous individual performances out there and that made for an excellent team performance. I couldn't single anyone out.
"That puts us fifth from bottom now, but we aren't getting carried away and know there is still a lot of work to do."
Corsham played into a strong wind in the first half and dealt well with a physical Cadbury Heath side at set pieces.
The hosts struck a crucial blow when they took the lead on the stroke of half time, Humphries stealing in front of his marker to nod home a left wing cross at the back post.
Freegard made it two after the interval with his second goal in three days. The big striker was put clear by an incisive ball from Steve Caines and nudged the ball past the advancing Cadbury Heath goalkeeper.
In doing so, Freegard collected a groin injury and was replaced by Harrison, with Humphries moving up front.
Russell Lodge's inswinging corner from the right gave Wicks the chance to head his second goal of the season, and Harrison claimed Corsham's fourth with a brave header.
Corsham will be looking to continue their improvement when second placed Exmouth visit The Southbank on Saturday. They also have another home game against Bitton on Monday night.
Freegard and Humphries both face a race against time to be fit for Saturday's game.
Said King: "Exmouth are second in the table, but we aren't scared of anybody. They will get a hard game from us after Monday's performance."
