WILTSHIRE is in danger of losing its archival records to London because of a campaign against the Record Office being sited in Chippenham.
Whilst I understand other Wiltshire towns might relish the prospect of hosting a prestigious purpose built Record Office with resulting commercial and tourism benefits, for the sake of all Wiltshire residents past, present and future may I urge those factions involved in the bidding process to work in partnership to ensure this opportunity is not squandered away by petty in-fighting.
Imagine if every parish was to object to the good fortune of another parish how many halls and play areas would still be the subject of argument rather than being put to good use?
