A FRIENDLY and personal service is the ethos of a new funeral directors that has opened in Trowbridge.
Elizabeth Snell has decided to expand her business into premises in Roundstone Street, to add to the business she has run from Southwick for the past seven years.
She said: "I have always wanted to move into Trowbridge but seven years ago we weren't able to get this property.
"Trowbridge is expanding with the development at Paxcroft and the new homes at County Way so there is room to expand."
Mrs Snell began her undertaking career working with the Co-op but, after the shop in Trowbridge moved to Bath, she decided it was time to branch out on her own.
"I couldn't spend the time with the clients that I felt they needed, you can't in a big organisation like that."
She opened her business in Southwick, offering a service that meant she could spend as much time with each client as needed and make sure they got the funeral they wanted for their loved one.
Mrs Snell takes care of all the arrangements from the first telephone call to the funeral service and also does home visits if that is what the client prefers.
