SPECIALISED life-saving equipment has been given to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance thanks to a farmers' trust.
The £10,000 heart and oxygen level monitor was handed over to the paramedics at the Air Support unit at a presentation last Friday by two members of the South West Farmers Trust William Randall and Jennie Liddiard.
Paramedic Shaun Russell said the new equipment is an important piece of equipment for the Air Ambulance as it enables the paramedics to monitor a patient whilst in flight.
He said: "Checks that we have had to do prior to being in the air we can now carry out in flight.
"And we will be able monitor a patients condition throughout the flight."
The new monitor records blood pressure and oxygen level as well as heart readings.
