Fire Brigades Union leader Andy Gilchrist visited Swindon to rally support for yet more strikes.
Raising the morale of Swindon firefighters, Mr Gilchrist addressed some 60 Wiltshire Fire Brigades Union members at the Thistle Hotel in Fleming Way last night.
He raised concerns about the new joint emergency services control room in Devizes and discussed the "final" 16 per cent rise pay offer over three years.
In light of the meeting, Swindon firefighters look set to join another proposed national 24-hour strike, on March 20. It will be the sixth of the dispute, which began in November.
