ANDY KING is expected to strengthen his squad today after questioning whether some of his players are already on their 'summer holidays'.

The mystery man, thought to be a left-sided player, will be brought in after King watched his side crash to a third straight defeat on Saturday.

Town failed to turn up for the first-half against Mansfield and King confirmed that the player he agreed a deal for on Friday will join on loan.

He said: "I feel there is a problem and as a manager this is one of the ways I can make a difference.

"You wonder if some of them are on their summer holidays already.

"People go to work and are expected to work hard between nine and five.

"My players have to do their jobs here. To get results, I need 11 players to fight and show tremendous energy, endeavour and willingness for 90 minutes."

King is anxious to end a 'horrible, nervous' campaign on the right note, a season he admits could have been far more problematic without Sam Parkin's goals.

He said: "I brought Sam in, a wonderful acquisition, who has got more goals than Danny Invincible and Eric Sabin put together. If Sam Parkin hadn't been here, we would probably have been below Mansfield.

"Without him I don't know where we'd be. That's a simple, honest fact."
