MARLBOROUGH'S two-month long search for a win continues after a 32-27 home slip-up to Colerne in Dorset & Wilts Two North.
The home side were the first to draw blood in the second minute when fly-half Geraint Jones slotted over a penalty.
But a series of conceded penalties cost them as Colerne drove over for a try on 11 minutes.
Centre Sacha Petit hit back for the hosts after some impressive handling by the backline, but Colerne crossed again for a 10-8 half-time lead.
Marlborough coach Geraint Jones and captain Mike Banfield had strong words for their side at the break but it was the visitors who took charge of the new half.
With only nine minutes on the clock, poor defending yielded a third try and another seven minutes later put Colerne in firm control.
On the hour mark, Marlborough centre Charlie Randall embarked on a typical jinking 40-yard run straight through the opposition back line to score under the posts, Jones adding the conversion.
Five minutes later, following some superb Marlborough forward pressure, Petit was released for his second try of the game.
And on 71 minutes, Randall followed up a superb forward break to bag his second, Jones duly converting to put his side five points in front.
But Marlborough let it slip as Colerne levelled with six minutes left.
Then the visitors stole a winning try in bizarre circumstances as their winger crossed but was held up by Randall before he could ground the ball, eventually off-loading to the centre to do the honours.
Marlborough also raised £50 for Comic Relief on Saturday.
