BUBBLY bride-of-the-year Lucy Griffin has been trying to arrange every last detail of her dream wedding - by agonising over the shape and colour of the confetti.
But the dental nurse, 20, who lives with fianc Neil Zerebecki in Osprey Close, Covingham, will not tell which type she has chosen in case she inadvertently reveals the colour of her dress, which will remain top secret until the big day on August 2.
Lucy and her mother Lynda have spent most weekends since winning the Evening Advertiser's £8,000 Bride of the Year package back in November, arranging different parts of the wedding.
She will marry Neil, 23, at St Andrew's Church in Wanborough, and has already chosen the wedding cake and flowers.
And as far as she is concerned everything must be co-ordinated - right down to the colour of the confetti and balloons at the reception.
Lucy said: "Winning the competition has been an experience, to say the least, and I've met some interesting people along the way. There's only something like 20 weekends left until the wedding so I really want to make sure all the colours are right and co-ordinated after all I'm only going to be doing this once and don't want to regret anything afterwards.
"I was really surprised when I was selected to be among the finalists for the Bride of the Year competition and completely shocked when I won."
During what would drive most men barmy, Lucy and her mother spent hours on Saturday morning poring over the multitude of confetti and balloons on offer in Party Box at the Apsley House Arcade in Wootton Bassett.
And by the time of the wedding day, Lucy will have had more than seven different dress fittings.
Party Box owner and table dresser Nesta Richards said: "It's very important to pay attention to the finer details to ensure everything is co-ordinated and comes together like a jigsaw, not a circus. Even every balloon has to be the right size to the nearest centimetre and anything Lucy wants she gets as long as it comes within the budget."
Childhood sweethearts Lucy and Neil grew up together, became good friends, fell in love and decided to marry. They have been engaged for four years.
