Chippenham youngster Simon Whatling had a special day at the weekend when he was selected in Bath's 22-man matchday squad for the Zurich Premiership clash against Northampton.
The 18-year-old, a member of Chippenham's development squad as well as the Recreation Ground youth system, didn't get on in the 27-10 defeat for the home side, but it gave the talented youngster vital experience.
Whatling captained England under 18s last season and this season has won three England under 19 caps.
Chippenham's Under 14s have added the Wiltshire Cup to the Bristol Combination Cup after a 24-0 demolition of Devizes at Allington Field.
John Pomfret's two unconverted tries put Chippenham in control at 10-0 at half-time and two further tries followed from PJ Ranson, both tries converted by Lee Audis, although Pomfret was later taken to hospital with a shoulder injury.
Meanwhile, Chippenham's under 13s ran up a half-century in their last pool match in the Wiltshire Cup against Devizes.
The home side ran in 10 tries to win 56-5 and face Trowbridge in the semi-final this Sunday.
The ever-popular Kennet Tag Rugby Festival for primary school children will kick off at Devizes Sports Club on Wednesday, April 2.
The joint initiative between Kennet District Council and Wiltshire Rugby Development has traditionally been a well-attended event in the past and this year all primary schools in the district have been invited, with more than 150 boys and girls expected on the day.
