JUNIOR Lewis has already buried Bristol City once this season and he is determined to mark his Town debut by handing out a repeat dose.
The Leicester City midfielder has vowed to give his all to the Town cause in the next month in the hope that it gives Foxes' boss Micky Adams a gentle reminder of his talents.
Although he is likely to grace venues such as Layer Road and London Road in the coming weeks, he is anxious to make sure that he will be stepping out at Highbury and Old Trafford next season.
Town boss Andy King could not have chosen a better time to bring Lewis in, bearing in mind tonight's opponents.
Bristol City's visit to the County Ground should hold no fears for Lewis as he has already played his part in condemning them to defeat this year.
The 29-year-old's last start for Leicester this season came back in January against Danny Wilson's side in the third round of the FA Cup.
Town's new boy set up the first goal in a 2-0 win for the Foxes and he would love nothing more than to produce a repeat performance.
He said: "Hopefully I can do well here and then go back to Leicester and push for a place for next season. It would be great to get back into the top flight and play Premiership football again. That's obviously the aim."
Lewis is aware that Bristol City is a huge game for the supporters and he is desperate to get off to a winning start.
He said: "I played against them at home in the FA Cup.We had worked on a free-kick at Leicester building up to the Bristol game.
"I managed to knock the ball back into the path of Matt Elliott who put us in front.
"But I know Bristol City are a good side and it won't be easy. It's a local derby and hopefully there'll be a good atmosphere."
Lewis has had two days training with his new teammates and his early impressions are very positive.
He said: "The sessions we've had have been quality.
"The manager told me that he'd seen me play, liked what he saw and feels I can do a job for him.
"I will do my best and hopefully that will be good enough."
King cannot sign Lewis on a permanent basis.
But he has said that Town supporters are not likely to be reeling with shock when it becomes clear who will be staying and who will be heading for the County Ground exit door in the summer.
He said: "I don't think there will be any surprises at all."
