Lex Commercials of Swindon has just secured a deal from Swindon Borough Council worth more than £1 million.
As the main dealer for LDV, a specialist van manufacturer based in Birmingham, Lex Commercials will supply 41 new vehicles to the council.
This marks the council's second bi-fuel LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) tender award, and consists of bi-fuel vans, drop side tippers and accessible minibuses.
The majority of these vehicles will be used for highway maintenance services.
Andrew Stevens, Lex Commercials Swindon's franchise manager said: "LDV's range of transport solutions, coupled with low running costs and environmentally friendly emissions, will provide the council with a first-class fleet."
Lex Commercials is based at Faraday Road on the Dorcan Industrial Estate, and supplies both new and used commercial vehicles.
John Short, director of Swindon Services, said: "The fact that we were able to request exact vehicle specification appealed to us.
"The range progresses all our financial and environmental policy requirements."
