THE Mayor and Mayoress of Chippenham, Richard and Karin Meek, are holding a charity dinner dance in aid of The League of Friends of Chippenham Hospital to celebrate the end of their year in office.
The historic Neeld Hall will be the venue for the evening of entertainment on April 25.
Proceedings will commence at 7.30pm when the Mayor and Mayoress welcome everyone on arrival, and a three-course dinner will be served at 8pm. Two live groups and an impressionist will provide the evening's entertainment.
The Freddie Gee Trio will be playing, followed by popular musicians Speakers Corner, who will play music from the 1960s, '70s and '80s.
At about 10.30pm there will be a cabaret performance by the excellent impressionist Dickie from Bristol.
Coun Meek said: "We have had a fantastic year and it has been both an honour and privilege to be the public face of Chippenham at so many events both locally and across the county.
"The aim now is to let our hair down a little and create a real party atmosphere and hopefully everyone who comes along will enjoy themselves in convivial surroundings.
Tickets cost £25 each and are available now from Chippenham Town Council Information Point or by telephoning (01249) 655331.
