Kings settle for a point
SATURDAY Division One leaders Kings Arms had to settle for a share of the spoils against Royal George despite taking a 3-1 half-time lead which stood until eight minutes from time.
Kings also had a penalty saved by Keith Redding during the opening 45 minutes.
Mark Webb made it 3-2 before Paul Blandford equalised and Royal George could even have grabbed a dramatic late winner but Marcus Turner's scissor kick went wide of the target.
In Division Two Victoria Hotel enjoyed a 2-1 victory over Greyhound.
Mike Davin opened the scoring, albeit against the run of play, for Victoria. Greyhound were reduced to ten men before a Jay Johnson strike settled the issue. Greyhound grabbed a late consolation goal.
Chalke Valley Reserves won by the odd goal in five in their Division Three clash with Royal George Reserves.
Mark Freeman had put Royal George ahead with only his third goal of the campaign before Valley struck twice.
Matt Cross' classy effort from fully 30 yards levelled proceedings before Valley bagged the winner in the second half.
