SWINDON SUNDAY LEAGUE: DIVISION Five leaders Queensfield recorded what could be a crucial 2-1 victory over nearest rivals Sun Inn Coate to open up a six-point lead.

Neil Robinson and Dave Smith netted for the leaders with Wayne Palmer replying for the Sun.

Lava Lounge slipped to a 2-1 home defeat to Wincanton with Tony Sardo and Joe O'Rourke finding the target for the victors.

Jason Lyne and a double from Ashley Oxborough gave ISSC a 3-2 home win over Brook House Farm.

In the top league, Juventus became the new leaders after their 6-3 win at AFC Gas, although they were made to work hard after trailing 3-1. They eventually triumphed with goals for Martin Crossman, Vinny Parker with a double and a Ricky Mazzotta hat-trick.

In Division Two, Blyskawica secured at least a runners-up spot after their latest win, 2-0 at Innogy Holdings. Once again it was those prolific scorers Ben Hollick and Chris Kyle with the spoils.

Jesters outgunned Alanbrooke 3-1 to mount their challenge with goals from Nod O'Dwyer, Robbie Quick and Steve Crame.

There were away wins for Compton Welding 4-0 at bottom club High St Club and Haydon Wick WMC who stormed to a 6-0 win at Wanborough.

In Division Four, Auto Colour won 3-0 at second-placed Motorola, and Highworth Swindon Fencing won 3-0 at Suffolk Arms which meant they swapped places in the league table.

A Mike Phelps hat-trick and a single strike from Gary Seward gave Windmill a 4-2 win at Lamb, for whom Tom Payne scored both. Red Lion proved too strong for Campbell James, winning 4-0 with a Rob Staynings four-timer.

In Division Six, Mark Emerson knocked in the Dolphin's consolation in their surprise 5-1 home defeat by Ladsio.

Castrol GTX and G and F Bricklaying returned to the top by recording victories. A Stuart Phillips double and Paul Stoddart gave Castrol a 3-0 home win over Swindon Cerney.

G and F won 5-1 at Halcrow for whom Brett Reay scored. A Billy Hunt double gave Philip Andrews a revenge win over Penetrators, who had beat them by the same scoreline the previous week.

H and H Athletic defeated Kingsdown United 4-2 thanks to goals from Ben Dalton, Matt Webster and a Barry Armstrong double. The Kingsdown scorers were Martin Lewis and Pete Nicholls.
