AS readers will know, shopping at Sainsbury's in Chippenham has not been easy for the past six months.

Perhaps those of us who have stuck with it should receive extra points on our loyalty cards.

However the people who really deserve praise are the staff. Their working conditions during those months must have been difficult, and the vast majority of them have managed to remain cheerful and helpful throughout all the confusion and noise.

I hope Sainsbury's will reward these dedicated members of their staff with appropriate bonuses.
