IN the attempt to enact a regime change in Iraq. the USA and British Government has engaged in the practice of arm twisting which surely renders null and void any free vote in the United Nations Assembly.
The offers of aid, preferential trade terms and debt restructuring together with the implied negatives are used to bring into line the smaller countries who fail to support the militaristic inclinations of the Prime Minister and George Bush.
Mr Blair has alienated a large section of British people due mainly to his inconsistent approach to the problems in Iraq and his ability to conjure up different levels of justification to engage in war.
Perhaps Mr Blair's conversion to the cause of eradicating the world of despotic leaders could be extended to other regimes such as China, North Korea, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia to name just a few.
I have a feeling Mr Blair is what Churchill described as 'a man of promise, who turns out to be a man of promises'.
