ARTHRITIS sufferers are to be given help by an information campaign running in libraries across west Wiltshire.
Information displays on the debilitating disease will be on show throughout March and April at county council run libraries in Warminster, Trowbridge, Westbury, Bradford on Avon and Melksham.
Warminster librarian Richard Violet said: "These displays provide a valuable opportunity for people with arthritis and their carers to have a broad overview of the current situation and to find help to make living with the disease that much easier."
The displays provide information on the disease from national arthritis organisations including diagnosis, control, treatment, different types of the condition and where to get help.
Mr Violet said: "We have had a positive response so far.
"Bringing all the information together for people in one place, in a focused way, will be very valuable.
"There is no doubt that this disease brings discomfort and suffering to thousands of people of all ages, yet it is encouraging to see the high degree of help and support that is available and the considerable amount of research that is being undertaken."
