TROWBRIDGE LEAGUE: DIVISION One sides Seend United and Freshford United will contest this season's Revolutions Caf Bar sponsored Knockout Cup Final.
Seend, whose last final appearance was 44 years ago when they lost to Edington, captured their place by completing a cup double over favourites Frome Town Sports thanks to a late first half strike from man of the match Ralph Plummer.
Freshford, who beat Seend in the A and B semi final the week before, created club history when for the first time since formation in 1957, they secured a second final spot in the same season by ending the giant killing performances of Division Three Castle Combe Reserves, although the final 4-0 winning margin, carved out by Robin Walker (2), Stuart Arnold and an own goal, was rather flattering.
In Division Two of the Premier Global sponsored league programme, Dynamo West End extended their unbeaten league run to 30 matches thanks to a hat-trick by Dave Birch, signing off before suspension. Trevor Jones scored a fourth in the 4-2 victory over luckless leaders Bratton who replied through Marc Lanfear and a Darren Whiting own goal.
Broughton Gifford Reserves returned to the top with John McChesney their hat trick star in a 5-1 double over Hilperton United. Darren Knight and Jason Richards completed the tally and Tarick Youcha replied.
Promotion chasing Rudloe are level on points with Bratton but have a superior goal difference after beating Rowde Sports 8-2 defeat. Substitutes Ashley Robinson and Andy Morrison replied for Rowde.
A 25th minute opener from Adam McMackin and another 10 minutes later from Steve Bruce put fifth place Westbury United A in charge against Deverills Reserves who replied after the break through Mel Messaoud. Westbury held out for a 2-1 win that leaves them just three points off a promotion place.
Old rivals Heytesbury and Broughton Gifford shared the spoils in their top of Division One clash, Chris Stiles breaking the deadlock after 75 minutes only for former Gifford striker Mark James to step up with a late penalty in a 1-1 draw.
The Deverills returned to winning ways with a 4-3 home win ending the title hopes of Bradford Sports. Sean Stone, Bill Fricker and Mark Williams replied to goals from Brett Ball, Oliver Worts (2) and Stuart Carr.
Division Three promotion hopefuls Trowbridge United dominated the first half but then suffered a setback in the last 11 minutes against Bradford United 201 who ran out 3-2 winners.
Paul Shanley and new signing Luke Davison gave Trowbridge a two-goal half time cushion but after Phil Fry missed a Bradford penalty, the visitors hit back through Steve Latham and two from Alex Edwards.
Warminster Town Reserves closed the gap on North Bradley Saints to a single point at the top with a 3-1 win at Hilperton Reserves. Another Scott Laidlaw brace, including a penalty, and a Trevor Senior header proved too much for the basement side, whose reply came from a Darren Scott spot kick.
The Stiffs triumphed for the second week, two goals apiece from Nathan Litterick, Dave Kemmery and Pete Ford cementing a 6-0 success over Seend Reserves.
Bromham Reserves are also on a roll after scoring all four goals at Frome Town Sports A. Two goals from Richard Dyke and one from Richard Kidd gave them a 3-1 double.
