IF Trowbridge planners had any sense they would co-opt your Star Letter contributor, Peggy Thomas, on to their planning committee.

Ms Thomas not only loves Trowbridge, she lives in the centre of town. Where do the planners live? Certainly not in Trowbridge, for they act like Philistines who do not care for the wonderful Trowbridge people they are paid to serve.

Trowbridge is wealthy in its splendid citizens. The poverty of the planning decisions they get is an insult to the hard-working, long-suffering Trowbridge people. Of course, things have improved since The Shires was built, but a tremendous opportunity to rebuild the working centre of Trowbridge is being fudged for lack of courage and ambition.
