A MOTHER-OF-THREE who drove the wrong way down a one-way street was nearly twice over the drink-drive limit.
Gina Clift, of Lakeside Court, Heathershaw, Trowbridge, was stopped in her Rover Metro by police officers, who spotted her carrying out the illegal driving manoeuvre at 9.25pm on March 7.
When asked by officers how much she had to drink during the day, Clift told them "one too many".
Taken to Melksham police station Clift blew a positive breath-test reading her levels were 67mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.
Trevor Line, defending, said Clift was driving to pick up her sister despite drinking alcohol during the day.
Clift admitted a charge of drink-driving and driving with no insurance when she appeared before magistrates in Trowbridge on Thursday.
