BRINKWORTH'S Earl Danby School is getting a cash boost of £12,500 to fund a project to encourage environment-friendly travel.
Sixteen schools in Wilt-shire will receive a total of £86,613 later this year from Wiltshire County Council.
This is to assist with their plans to reduce the problems caused by cars on the school run, and will encourage pupils to walk, cycle, lift share or catch the bus instead.
The county council is making funding available to schools to spend in capital projects such as secure parking for bikes, and new footpaths and road crossings.
Schools were asked to develop travel plans in order to bid for funds.
The money for Brink-worth's Earl Danby School will go towards improving pedestrian and cycle access to the site.
All of the projects are linked to the Taking Action on School Journeys initiative to encourage pupils and parents to take a more green approach to travel to and from school.
