AT times, when the news seems to brim with tales of the nasty and mean-spirited things people can do to one another, it is important to remember that there are many, many good people.
Where badness shouts its existence for all to hear, goodness by its very nature tends to remain modestly in the background.
It is therefore vital that as many of our unsung heroes as possible are nominated for the People of Wiltshire Awards.
The good people are far more entitled than the bad to a place in the public eye if only to show the jaded cynics among us the true potential of the human spirit.
