Upper Stratton pensioner Valerie Hearn, 68, who has been a target for vandals, says they should be made to put right the damage they cause rather than serve ASBOs.
Valerie and her partner Ray Millin, 72, have been under siege from youths and have now installed CCTV cameras at their home to capture criminal activities on film.
Valerie said: "I'm not sure if such orders would work - how would you enforce them? If the parents can't keep them under control who else is going to?
"We have had three incidents in six weeks and it's not just us, a lot of people in the area are getting really hammered by vandals.
"I think these youths should be forced to pay for what they've done, or work it off in kind.
"A lot are bored. What they fail to realise is that they are going to get old one day and they could be in the same position as us."
