SWINDON Schools' under 11s representative teams defeated South Gloucestershire Schools at Yate in their Cotswold league fixtures.
The A league game was a close affair, but a goal apiece from Steven Nesbitt and Thomas Melton-Ruddock was enough to settle the tie 2-0.
The other game was more comfortable for Swindon with Luke Robinson and Luke Underwood running the opposing defenders ragged.
Early goals from Robinson and Edgar Espinosa settled Swindon down and they never looked back.
Robinson then bagged his second with a shot into the top corner and then set up Underwood for a shot that came back off the post.
South Glos got one back just before the break and the second half saw them stage something of a fightback.
Two sloppy goals came from poor Swindon defending, but Jamie Mallon then scored twice to clinch victory.
