CHIPPENHAM under 18s had little trouble booking their place in the final of the Dorset & Wilts Vase as they defeated hosts Wimborne 31-3.
Wimborne missed a couple of early kicks, but once the visitors had weathered that storm the result was in little doubt.
Their first try came from prop James Foley after a drive off a lineout and full-back Matt Towel scored the next, Gareth Wiltshire adding the conversion.
Wimborne replied with a long distance penalty to make it 12-3 at the break, but after it, Chippenham pulled away.
Within minutes, they had extended their lead with a try from Wiltshire, which he himself converted.
Andy Flower then cut through the Wimborne midfield to score under the posts and a second try from Wiltshire completed the scoring.
Development coach Rob Alford said: "That was a much improved performance and nobody in the twin counties would have lived with our forwards in the second half.''
