TREE planting took place at Eldene Junior School over the weekend.
More than 30 six to 13-year-olds from the First Eldene Scouts gave up the second Saturday in a row to work.
They planted trees and wild flowers in the school's wildlife area as well as picking up litter and clearing out the pond.
The scout group also spent £500 of its own funds on providing the school children with outdoor benches.
Group leader Theresa Polden said: "We decided to do this for our environmental award. It's to make the environment nicer for the children at this school."
