St Andrews' C of E primary school in Blunsdon is celebrating the success of its recent Ofsted report.
Head teacher Jane Wheatley has been at the school for nearly two years and feels that the glowing report is vindication for the progress the school has made.
She said: "We could not have hoped for a better report and my thanks go to the staff and governors for their hard work and dedication."
Areas where the school has done particularly well include the attitude of the pupils towards work, the school's links with parents and the strong leadership of the head teacher.
The report also stated that the quality of the teaching was good throughout the school.
Which as Mrs Wheatley points out, is paramount "in providing the best possible education" for the pupils.
The progress of the school has been a real team effort with governors also coming in for praise from the inspectors.
But the school will not be resting on its laurels.
Even though the next inspection will not be for another six years Mrs Wheatley said: "We hope to continue to improve as much as possible."
