Corey Middleton cannot wait for it to snow - so he can try out his new snowboard.
Corey, 12, from Abbey Meads, won the £350 snowboard in a raffle draw held by Just Add Water skate and surf store in the Brunel Centre, but doesn't know when he'll be able to use it.
He said: "I still cannot believe I won. The shop rang up to tell me and I was ill with the flu, so this was a great surprise."
Corey entered the draw when he bought a skateboard from the shop in January. "I have only just started skateboarding and now have another sport to learn. I will probably have to go on holiday to try it out," he added.
The prize, donated by Burton snowboard manufacturers, has been custom sprayed by a graffiti artist known as Res.
The competition raised £1,800, which will go towards building a skate park in Bournemouth.
Mark Lane, area sales manager of the chain store Just Add Water, now hopes to run a competition to raise money for a skate park in Swindon.
He said: "I know there is a big demand for a skate park here in Swindon, so my future project is to raise funds for this."
