ROBIN Goodey (Royal North Devon) won the final Devon PGA winter medal at Churston with a level par 70.
On a very cold and windy day, with the front nine holes playing extremely difficult, he was followed by Peter Laugher (Thurleston) on 72 and Barry Austin (Teign Valley) on 73.
But Goodey's effort was not enough to catch order of merit leader Jon Langmead (Hele Park) who was fourth on 74 with Neil Holman (Churston) and Ian Marshall (Staddon Heights) a stroke further back in fifth.
At the annual meeting that followed, Holman was elected the new captain and Tim McSherry (Yelverton) as his vice captain.
