HONITON'S new captain Terry Linsdell (pictured) drove into office in the traditional way. Geoff Banks accurately forecast where the drive would end up so took the customary prize.
Honiton elected Anne Davies as their first lady president. She has been ladies' captain and, most recently, chairman of the executive committee.
For the second month running Jeanne Mackinnon won Honiton's drawn mixed foursomes with different partners to retain the silver goblet.
Her first partner was Richard Whittington, the club's vice-captain. The second was John Harvey.
They scored 30 stableford points over a shortened 14-hole course finishing with a birdie on the last hole to finish one clear of Barbara Eastwood and Tony Colley.
