CANFORD Magna pair Peter Cook and Eric Cross returned to Bournemouth with a huge silver salver after winning a new competition in Morocco.
Cook, off 12, and Cross, off five, carded 38 stableford points, but they only won on the back nine from a pair from Gower Golf Club in Wales.
The final was played at the Palmeraie Golf Palace Hotel in Marrakech a spectacular course designed by Robert Trent Jones beneath the Atlas mountains
It was the first time the Club Captain's Invitational tournament had been run. The country was split into 12 regions and the names of the winners of the club captains' competition at participating clubs were put into a hat.
The 12 lucky regional winners and their club captains were invited to Morocco for the final.
