JON Langmead (Hele Park) carded a two-under-par 66 to win the Devon PGA medal by two shots at Staddon Heights.
On a cold and dull day youngsters Duncan Giblett (East Devon) and Nick Horrocks (Thurlstone) returned level par 68s. This was Horrocks's first cheque as a professional.
Ashley Moon (Okehampton) and Robin Goodey (RND) shared fourth on 69.
Langmead has now moved to the top of the order of merit points race to determine Devon's top professional. He is closely followed by Giblett, Chris Gill and Stuart Disney.
Disney shot a three-over-par 68 for his first win in the current series at Dawlish Warren. He finished one clear of Tim McSherry (Yelverton) and Jon Langmead.
He said: "Despite the soggy conditions that meant the 17th hole was out of play, the course was in superb condition and the putting surfaces excellent."
The top 16 from the order of merit qualified to play in the matchplay championships at Exeter Golf and Country Club.
