CHIPPENHAM will be aiming to bring an end to their worst sequence of results in more than two years when Cambridge City visit Hardenhuish Park on Saturday.
The Bluebirds have lost four and drawn two of their last six matches and are without a win on home soil since Tom Gould's late header gave them a 1-0 victory over Crawley on February 1.
Despite defeat at the hands of Moor Green on Saturday, Chippenham are very much in the hunt for a second placed finish behind champions-elect Tamworth.
The Lambs, Stafford and Worcester all lost on Saturday on a bad day for the leading for teams in the Premier Division. Chippenham remain in third spot, a point behind Stafford, but have played a game more.
Saturday's visitors Cambridge go into the game on the back of two straight victories and pulled six points clear of the relegation zone with a 2-0 win at Havant and Waterlooville on Tuesday night.
Their triumph in Hampshire came hot on the heels of an impressive 3-0 success against seventh placed Crawley Town on Saturday, but Cambridge are still seven points away from the 50-point safety mark and will be keen to stretch their winning run at Hardenhuish.
Former Norwich youngster Danny Bloomfield, signed this term from Bournemouth, has scored in each of the last two games and operates out of position on the right flank.
Skipper Rob Nightingale marked his return to the side from a hamstring injury with Cambridge's first half opener at Havant.
Utility man Che Wilson, who played more than 50 times for Bristol Rovers before being released by Ray Graydon in the summer, has been out for the past month with a rib injury but may return to the squad on Saturday.
Midfielder Stuart Niven may also return to the squad after missing the last two matches, while Adie Hayes is a doubt after he limped out of Tuesday's victory with a foot problem.
Cambridge boss Gary Roberts failed in his attempt to bring prolific Banbury United striker Norman Sylla to the club this week, so Rob Simpson and Kevin Wilkin should play up front.
Both men were on the mark in Saturday's win over Crawley.
Roberts, a former professional with Brentford, took over the managerial reins at the City Ground in January following the departure of Dave Batch a month previously.
