JUNIOR FOOTBALL: AMESBURY Juniors' under 14s completed their first season in the Mid Wilts League on a high with a 2-0 success against title rivals Chippenham Town Rangers.
Harry Gale put Ames-bury ahead mid-way through the first half before a Martin Cameron header doubled their lead.
The second half proved equally entertaining with both sides creating a number of chances.
South Newton & Wish-ford's under 12s were in action twice over the weekend against the same opposition.
On Saturday they beat Redlynch & Woodfalls away 3-1 thanks to goals by Josh Wilson (2) and Tom Mundy, then on Sunday they ran out 8-0 winners after Wilson (3), Mundy (3), Brett Matthews and Nicholas Munday netted.
Barford Hornets produced the shock of the day when they beat Amesbury Lions 2-1 in a Wilts Junior League match.
Amesbury, who had put 13 goals past the Hornets when they met earlier in the season, went behind to a Tom Bennett goal and despite levelling in the second half were undone by a Tom Gemmill strike.
Shrewton United's under nines booked their place in the final of the HSA Cup with a 5-0 win against Worthies Sports. James Dolman and Chris-topher Newbury grabbed a brace apiece, while George Plank also scored.
