FOOTBALL: LAVERSTOCK & Ford know that victory on Saturday at Ludgershall Sports will almost certainly guarantee them the Division Two title.
A 3-0 success against Queens Keep Southampton in their final home game of the campaign, ensured they kept the maximum pressure on closest rivals Overton.
'Stock did not have it all their own way and it took them a while to get into their stride against the side they had beaten 2-1 earlier in the season.
Dom Male eventually headed them into the lead following Nick Newman's cross, but the Southampton side were unlucky not to go in at the break on level terms after a shot was deflected onto the cross bar off Graham Mankin.
Laverstock got their passing game together at the start of the second half and an impressive 15-minute spell resulted in them deservedly doubling their lead. Male turned provider - setting up Newman whose thunderous volley gave the 'keeper no chance.
Their third arrived courtesy of a Male penalty after Toby Giles had been upended in the box.
Laverstock's Reserves entertain Lym-ington Town on Saturday in a Hampshire Combination Division Two match.
