SALISBURY City maintained their promotion challenge by securing a hard-earned point at Histon on Saturday.
Nick Holmes' side took the lead on the stroke of half-time courtesy of a rare Tyronne Bowers header following skipper Scott Bartlett's cross.
However a 72nd minute equaliser by substitute Benny Murray denied them all three points.
Whites have completed the signing of 25-year-old midfielder/utility player Steve Strong from Lymington & New Milton. The former AFC Bournemouth and Bashley player is likely to be included in the squad for Saturday's game at home to Chatham Town.
Tuesday night will prove another crucial one for Whites when fellow promotion hopefuls Stamford visit the Raymond McEnhhill Stadium.
City's Dean Bowden who suffered a broken leg in the abandoned Wilts Premier Shield tie against Chippenham, was presented with a pennant signed by Tottenham Hotspur players before Tuesday night's replayed tie. Bowden, a lifelong Spurs fan, says he has been overwhelmed by numerous messages of support from Whites fans and from those of other club as he begins his recovery.
