BOX Rovers have set up an all-Premier Division showdown in the final of PPL Presto Print sponsored Eric Hughes Knockout Cup.

Rovers needed extra-time before overcoming Biddestone Social Club 2-1 to set up their clash with All Cannings A.

Biddestone, who did themselves and the Second Division proud, fell behind after only seven minutes when Wayne Munday put Rovers in front.

The game was an evenly contested affair that flowed from end to end and just when it looked like Rovers had done enough to win the game in normal time up popped Rob Pocock in the 90th minute to knock the ball home for Biddestone and take the game into added time. Darren Wileman hit Rovers' winner in the 115th minute.

Having lost out in 1995 and 1999, Rovers will be hoping that they can go that one step further against Cannings and clinch their first ever Knockout Cup victory.

Division Four

TROWBRIDGE Town Supporters' Club's 4-0 victory over bottom of the table Plough moved Kevin Williams' side to the top of the division.

Liam Westland's first half goal was all that was needed to give North Star B a 1-0 win against KSM.

After eight defeats on the bounce Old Road Tavern have now won their last two games. A 3-2 defeat of Potterne FC was led by inspirational captain Barry Nash, who erased Potterne's opener which came after only five minutes when Richard Burke's shot was put into his own net by Pete Rice.

Nash then put Tavern ahead before Pete Huntley bought Potterne level for a second time. Gavin Hore's looping shot from 20 yards made sure of Tavern's win which put a massive dent into Potterne's own hopes of a top two finish.

Bradstone Rovers came from behind to claim a 2-1 win at Classic FC. Dayle Townsend gave Classic the perfect start but his effort was in vain as Bradstone won thanks to a brace from Alan Eades.

Classic thought that they had netted an equaliser late on but Pete Brock's goal was ruled out for offside despite Bradstone's linesman's honesty in saying that the goal should stand. Following the controversial moment Classic's Adam Scarlett was shown the red card.

PERCY'S FC are within touching distance of claiming the title after their 3-1 defeat of Westbury Rangers A moved them four points clear of second placed All Cannings A, who were not in action.

Two more wins should be good enough for Keith Dawdry's side but should they slip up, Box, All Cannings, Hullavington and Malmesbury Victoria are waiting to pounce.

Marc Lanfear gave Rangers a deserved lead after five minutes when Percy's defence was caught napping but Pete Ayton put through his own net on the stroke of half-time to send the teams in at the break level.

Percy's took the game to Rangers in the second half and took the lead with an excellent individual strike from Dave Kilmurray, who fired home from 25 yards. Jerry Carey sealed Percy's win with a bolt from the blue in the closing stages when he unleashed a lightning strike from 45 yards which caught Rangers' goalkeeper off guard.

Pack Horse and Bradford News drew a blank. A 0-0 draw was a fair result for both teams who really needed a win as they look to move away from the relegation dog fight. Both sides hit the woodwork.

A 4-2 victory for Dog and Fox Ashley saw them pick up their first win in three games which bought an end to Hullavington Village's impressive run of seven unbeaten matches which had given them a realistic chance of stealing a top two finish. After a goal-less first 45 minutes Craig Samuels put Hullavington ahead from the penalty spot two minutes after the restart. Mark Robinson's cross was met by Matt Cottrell who netted to drag the Dog level in the 55th minute. Within a minute Robinson made it 2-1 to the Dog only for Craig Samuels to bend the ball home from 20 yards to tie the scores again. Man-of-the match Robinson set up Russell Whatley for the Dog's third with Nick Gerrish completing the scoring with a fine individual effort.

Division One

WEST Lavington took a huge step to the top flight with a 1-0 victory over Westbridge United.

Lee Campbell bagged the winning goal eight minutes into the second half. West Lavington were indebted to their goalkeeper Darren Chitty for keeping a clean sheet. After a number of good saves Chitty produced a breathtaking stop five minutes from time to deny United's Paul Bendell the chance of an equaliser.

Chippenham Police eased their relegation fears with a fine victory over Colerne FC. Steve Davis potted the only goal of the game in their 1-0 win. The Police finished the game with only 10 players on the park after injuries to both Adam Davy and Steve Lever.

Atworth United remain rooted to the bottom of the table after losing 1-0 away at WG Parr Trophy finalists Maud Heath Sports. Jason Hulme hit the Sports' winner early in the second half.

Trowbridge Harriers and The George Lacock played out a 0-0 draw, with Lacock's Tim Culling going the closest to breaking the stalemate with a shot that hit the bar.

Division Two

NORTH Bradley manager Julian Hooper was full of praise for his team who could only field nine players for their clash with Christian Malford.

They battled bravely before succumbing to a Malford side who ran out 6-2 victors.

Scott Evans (2), Ben Mumms (2) Neil Murray and Neil Maidment's own goal made up Malford's half dozen.

Steve Coveney was on target for Farmhouse FC who suffered their first loss in four games at home to North Star A. Coveney's consolation came after Tommy Ludford and Mark Sharratt had put the visitors two up. Mark Smallings was the Star's other marksman in their 3-1 win.

Sutton Benger picked up a much needed 1-0 victory over Spencer Sports after a recent run of poor results.

Benger broke the deadlock in the 26th minute when Steve Gawke raced onto Ian Dawkin's quickly taken free kick to unleash a low shot beyond Nick Evans in the Sports' goal.

Semington Rovers are on course for back to back promotion.

Rovers' 6-3 win over Wingfield moves them two points clear of both Black Horse and Biddestone Social Club who have both played one game more than the leaders.

Division Three

THE last time Roadrunners FC and Holt FC met in the league, the former were hammered 11-4. In the reverse fixture, victory still went the way of Holt but by the narrowest of margins, with Adie Mizen's team overcoming a 1-0 half-time deficit to steal a 2-1 win.

Steve Ivin's first half opener for Roadrunners was cancelled out by strikes from Neil Grant and Mark Slade who rifled home long range efforts.

Hare and Hounds kept their first clean sheet of the season as they hammered their landlords Rowde 8-0. Niall McClean led the rout with a hat-trick and Tim Wootton, Mark Vardley, Matthew Benson and substitute Paul Morris (2) completed the victory.

Sir Audley's Arms and Blue Circle Saints shared the honours in a 2-2 draw. Steve Shipway and Kieron Smith scored for the Audley with Graham Kirk scoring twice for Saints.

It was third verses fifth as Corsham Centre entertained AFC Unicorn and at the final whistle the positions remained as the sides shared six goals and the points.

Unicorn drew first blood with Kevin Woolford volleying them in front. Corsham were guilty of some expensive misses, before they drew level when Liam Ralph finished superbly with a drive that ended up in the top corner.

Corsham took the lead just before the break through Mickey Godsell. Unicorn shuffled the pack at half-time and looked a different team in the second half and were soon on level terms. Lee Scutter's cross picked out Dean Fry who beat a defender before striking home from 12 yards.

All Unicorn's hard work was undone by some poor defending which allowed oud Nigel Evans in to sneak the ball beyond goalkeeper Chris Gray. Unicorn came back at Corsham and Steve Casey headed home a deserved equaliser.
