CROFT Juniors are through to the final of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League under 17s league cup.
They took a 3-0 half-time lead in their semi-final against Cricklade Youth, thanks to goals from Jason Smith (2) and Alex Whittingham, and added two more after the break, with Leigh Jones and Ben Harris both scoring with headers.
The Croft defence was superb throughout in a match played at a competitively high pace on a hot and sunny afternoon.
Under 17s-18s Division
BATH Arsenal played host to Swindon Vultures in a midtable clash which resulted in a very close game which could have gone either way.
The Vultures took a narrow 2-1 lead at the break which in effect sealed their victory as the second half produced a 1-1 draw to see the game end at 3-2 in favour of the Vultures. Dan Smith and Danny Blake scored for Bath Arsenal.
Under 16s Blue Division
MALMESBURY Youth increased their lead at the top of the table, going six points clear following their decisive 7-1 away win against Trowbridge Wanderers.
Chaz Parks (3), Wayne Buckland (2), Laurie Kaith and Anthony Packer scored for Malmesbury, with Andy Davidson replying for Wanderers.
Amesbury Juniors earned their fifth win of the season with a 6-1 away victory against Box Youth. Matthew Collett scored for Box.
Under 15s League Cup
SHAW played host to Shaw and Whitley for the last place in this season's final.
The game was even throughout and could have gone either way, but Shaw secured their place with a 2-1 win, with goals from B Clark and M King.
Under 15s Blue Division
CHIPPENHAM Town Rangers ran out 4-0 winners against local rivals Westinghouse Youth.
James Thomas scored both first half goals for the home side, with Darren Holcombe and Steven Dean scoring in the second half.
Trowbridge Town Youth remain three points behind the leaders following their 8-1 away win against a ten man Laverstock and Ford side.
Under 15s Red Division
PEWSEY Vale entered their match against FC Chippenham on the back of a 10-1 mauling by FC Chippenham last week in what was sometimes a bad tempered and aggressive match.
An early goal from Steven Howse put Pewsey in front after some good attacking play which gave them the lift they needed.
Pewsey held the edge for most of the first half with Ryan Hillier adding a second goal after 33 minutes.
Chippenham kept pushing in the second half and got their reward 15 minutes from time with a well taken goal. Some good solid defending by Alex Smith, Michael Roberts, Billy Flippance say Pewsey hold on for a well deserved win.
Visitors Shaw Youth took the game to Trowbridge Town Youth in the first half and went in 2-0 up at the break. Trowbridge piled on the pressure in the second half and pulled the score back to 2-2.
Under 14s Blue Division
DEVIZES Youth kept up the pressure on the teams above following their 4-3 away win over Melksham Park.
Both sides battled hard and the score was tied at 3-3 with just two minutes left to play when Devizes scored their winner. Tom Slater, Patrick Preece (2) and Dan Stone scored for Devizes. with Matthew Humphries (2) and Dave Thompson replying for Melksham.
Under 14s Red Division
AMESBURY Juniors ended their first season in the league on a high with a 2-0 win over title rivals Chippenham Town Rangers.
A 6-0 home win for Chippenham Town Rangers over Durrington Rangers leaves Chippenham 15 points behind the leaders but with five games in hand they could finish level on points. Chippenham need to win all their games and score 53 clear goals to pip Amesbury for the title.
Warminster Hornets were on top for most of their game against FC Chippenham, leading 2-0 at the interval and finishing at 5-0. Iain Carr (2), Scott Smith, Tom Fox and Sam Markley scored their goals.
Under 13s Blue Division
FC CHIPPENHAM moved up two places to fourth following their home win over local rivals Westinghouse Youth.
Will Fisher gave the home side the lead before Mark Boucher made it 2-0 with a shot from just inside the Westinghouse half which caught out the keeper on the bounce.
Fisher increased Chippenham's lead before Mark Nolan scored their fourth goal just before the break. Westinghouse stood up to the challenge in the second half denying Chippenham further goals but unable to find the target themselves.
Calne Town Youth earned their fourth win of the season with a 5-0 home victory over AFC Corsham. Luke Bennett, Matthew Lewis, Ross Crichton (2) and John Summers scored for Calne.
Under 13s Red Division
DEVIZES Blues entertained Castle Combe Colts and despite lots of early possession and chances the Blues found themselves a goal down with a well taken long distance effort from Jake O'Keeffe catching the keeper off his line.
The Blues responded just before half-time with a goal from M Rossi. The Blues made good use of the light breeze in the second half and opened up the Castle Combe defence, adding a further five goals. J Muir scored a hat-trick and A Rowles and L McEniry added singles.
Under 12s Blue Division
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth took a 3-0 lead in the first half of their away game against Chippenham Town Youth.
Chippenham kept their heads up in the second half, scoring a consolation goal but two more from the visitors clinched the win a 5-1.
Leaders Trowbridge Wanderers had most of the play in the first half of their game against Devizes Town Youth and went in 3-0 up at the interval.
The game was much more even in the second half with both sides scoring once to leave the final score at 4-1 to Wanderers. Rory Brown scored for Devizes.
Under 12s Red Division
BROMHAM remain third after running out 10-0 winners against Melksham Park.
Wayne House (4), Rob Langan (2), Jacob Rogers (2), Alex Hams and Dan Fear scored for the goals.
Pewsey Vale continue to be the dominant force and the only unbeaten team in the division following their 8-1 away win against FC Chippenham.
The win leaves them eight points clear at the top of the table with two games in hand over nearest rivals Westbury Youth. Jack Tyzack-Smith scored for Chippenham.
AFC Corsham's visit to Westbury Youth proved a strong test for the home side who were soon 3-0 down after Corsham, who settled first, played some very good attractive football that belied their league position.
Nick Bradley scored for the home side just before half-time.
Corsham continued to play the some exciting football in the second half, with Westbury battling to get back into the game. Both sides went close on several occasions before Westbury's James Brunning and then Lee Newman levelled to leave the final score at 3-3.
In another closely fought and entertaining game, Castle Combe took the lead through Daniel Parking who followed up Josh Boulton's parried free kick. Visitors Chippenham Town Rangers levelled through Gared Barnes to make the half time score 1-1.
Castle Combe were dominant in the second half going ahead through Sam Thomas's first goal. Despite lots of pressure the Colts could not add to their lead and on a break-away run Sam Hughes beat the offside trap to equalise and finish the game level at 2-2.
Under 11s Division Two
FC CHIPPENHAM moved to within a point of leaders Trowbridge Wanderers, with two games in hand following their convincing 5-0 home win against Devizes Town Youth.
Chippenham Town Youth took the lead in their home game against Trowbridge Wanderers with a goal from Miles Clarke. Wanderers were up to the challenge and were soon level before going on to lead 2-1 at the break. Chippenham had many chances to get back into the game but a third from the visitors was enough to secure the three points.
Under 11s Division Three
A HAT-TRICK of well taken goals from Mark Brothers helped Westbury Youth to their second win of the season in their home game against FC Chippenham.
Daniel Greenslade scored the fourth, seizing his opportunity when the ball was loose in the Chippenham area.
Credit must go to Chippenham, especially their goalkeeper, who despite the goals going against them never gave up and kept the Westbury defence active until the end.
Warminster Highbury continue to dominate the division following their 6-0 away win against AFC Corsham.
Under Nines Division Two
WESTBURY Youth ran out comfortable 5-1 winners in their home game against Chippenham Town Youth.
Westbury's Lewis Gardiner netted a hat-trick and Bradley Lewis scored the other two goals.
Chippenham created chances, scoring from a penalty midway through the first half.
