A 19-YEAR-OLD Devizes man who admitted being drunk and disorderly in the town centre last week is given money by his father to buy beer, a court heard on Tuesday.
Unemployed Jonathan Tinnion of Sunnyside House, Bath Road, Devizes, was seen in the Little Brittox, Devizes, shortly before 11pm on Friday March 14, carrying a bottle of lager.
The policeman told Tinnion that he was contravening the local by-law that bans drinking in public places in the town centre. Tinnion threw the bottle away and ran off.
Later Tinnion verbally abused the officer and was arrested.
He was given 28 days to pay a £25 fine.
