MORE jobseekers are being encouraged to work in tourism.
A series of events have been organised by Tourism Skills Network Wiltshire and Swindon Jobcentre to encourage more people to enter the industry.
On Monday, a specialist careers stand will be set up at Swindon Jobcentre to provide information on the diverse range of jobs available within the tourism sector.
Other events will see careers advisors spend a day shadowing staff at local hotels to get a hands-on feel for a range of jobs.
Julia Drummond, from Tourism Skills Network Wiltshire, said: "The buddy days will give Jobcentre advisors hands-on experience of the tourism industry, which they can pass on to prospective employees, as well as finding out exactly what the hotels are looking for."
