AN annual Easter egg run to Bristol Child-ren's Hospital is to go ahead this year, despite the death of its organiser.
The run on April 12 will be held in memory of biker Nick Wynne, 30, who was killed in a motorbike accident at Hilperton Marsh in June. His girlfriend Teresa Peel is organising the 2003 event.
She said: "A lot of people have been wanting to take part and it was something Nick loved doing so we decided to do it in his memory."
Mr Wynne was a passionate motorcyclist and a father of five, who liked to combine his love of bikes with helping children.
More than 70 motorcyclists took part in last year's run, delivering 350 eggs donated by well-wishers from around the area. It is hoped this year even more people will either donate eggs or take part in the run themselves.
Anyone with a motorbike or scooter can take part, meeting at the White Swan in Trowbridge at 10am. Donations of Easter eggs can be left at the Wiltshire Times office, in Duke Street, Trowbridge, clearly marked for the Nick Wynne Easter Egg Run.
l The Wiltshire Times is also supporting Operation Christmas Child's Easter appeal. People have until April 18 to take stationery and small chocolate eggs to our Trowbridge office or the charity's warehouse in Strattons Walk, Melksham, which is open between 2-4pm on Wednesdays.
