A MEMORIAL to remember children affected by the Bristol Heart Babies scandal will be unveiled to the families in a touching tribute next month.
Melksham mother Marie Edwards, who lost her five-month-old daughter Jazmine after heart surgery at the hospital in 1993, set up the Fragile Angels support group to help grieving families.
She has secured an area in Clanger and Picket Woods, Westbury for the memorial, which will be unveiled on April 22.
The personal ceremony will include music and a chance for the families to take part.
Miss Edwards, who is in contact with more than 64 families, is now searching for donations to cover some of the costs for the service. She hopes to buy rose petals for children attending the tribute to scatter.
She said: "This is a living memorial that will always be there. That is what is special.
"It is about regaining control of our children's memories."
